Ralph Turfus

Chairman of the Board

Ralph is an accomplished technology entrepreneur having spent over four decades in the sector, first as  a serial entrepreneur founder / CEO of multiple companies and subsequently as a significant Investor in twenty five startups including Redlen. Ralph’s large direct investment portfolio led to roles as Chairman of seven companies including Redlen. Ralph’s passion is developing the sales and marketing skills of Startup executives. In recognition of his business success and industry contributions he was named the B.C. Technology Industry Association “Person of the Year” in 2006.  In 2013 the B.C. Government awarded Ralph the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for his tech industry contributions and results.

Bob Armstrong


Bob most recently led all Research & Development programs at Smiths Medical where he focussed on innovation and accelerating commercialization of differentiated products and platforms. He joined the organization in 2014.

Prior to Smiths Medical, Bob served as Vice President, Innovation Excellence Transformation at Philips Healthcare, a $12.4 billion division of the Dutch conglomerate. In that role, he had responsibility for creating and implementing the product development process and competency improvements for all product development in Philips Healthcare globally. Prior to Philips, he served as Vice President of R&D for all Medical Devices and Adjacent Disposables for Baxter Healthcare.

Bob began his career as an engineer in GE Healthcare and assumed roles of increasing responsibility over 21 years, last serving as General Manager of Global Computed Tomography and Functional Imaging Engineering.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from St. Norbert College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, as well as a number of patents

Glenn Bindley

President & CEO

Glenn is an Electrical Engineer and MBA who brings over 25 years of design, product marketing, business development and executive management experience in the semiconductor industry. He was a founder of PMC-Sierra, Inc. and grew a highly profitable division with sales exceeding $200M per year. Glenn is a holder of 6 semiconductor device patents and has extensive experience in product marketing, building strategic business relationships, and successfully managing high growth businesses.

Chris Erickson


Chris Erickson is the founder of Pangaea and has been working with cleantech and advanced material companies since 1997. Chris brings considerable cleantech and transaction experience advising public and private companies on environmental issues, investment structures, financings, strategic alliances, mergers, divestitures, corporate governance and other business transactions. Prior to starting Pangaea, Chris was a partner with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, one of Canada’s pre- eminent business law firms, specializing in environmental and corporate law. Chris holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.

Colin C. Harris


Colin is a founder of PMC-Sierra, and served as its Vice President, Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2015 when the company was sold for $2.5B.  Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Operations at PMC-Sierra from July 2004 and Vice President of IC Technology from May 1997 to July 2004.  Colin is an active angel investor and serves on the board of several technology companies as well as the  Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment.  Colin graduated from UBC with a degree in Engineering Physics and is the holder of 5 semiconductor device patents.

Jeromy Xue


Mr. Jeromy Xue is a founding partner of THG Ventures. Jeromy joined TusPark in 2002 and since 2006 has served as the founding partner and managing director of TusPark Ventures, specializing in early stage technology companies. TusPark invests primarily in technology, media, telecom, biomedicine, and clean technologies sectors. Jeromy was previously with the State Information Center and with IBM before joining TusPark. He also founded Aetna (US) in 1994 and Bosicong Information Technology Co., Ltd. in 2000.

Jeromy served as the secretary-general of the Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC) for six years and served as the executive director of the Asia America Multi-technology Association (AAMA), promoting the implementation of the “Cradle Plan”. He also served as a member of the Venture Capital Working Group under the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Jeromy holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Master’s degree in management engineering from the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, and a Master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from San Jose State University, California.
