Leveraging our industry leading proprietary CZT semiconductor production and fabrication processes, Redlen's imaging modules combine leading edge CZT material with sophisticated electronics to deliver application specific value-added detector module solutions to our Global Fortune 500 customers serving the medical, security and non-destructive test market segments.
In September 2021, Redlen became a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon Inc. Redlen’s leadership in semiconductor radiation detection and imaging products align ideally with Canon Inc’s strategic vision to expand its merchant component solutions portfolio in medical and related industries.
The Canon acquisition enables Redlen to accelerate our mission to scale our industry leading Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) semiconductor radiation imaging solutions for next generation PCCT, nuclear medicine, baggage scanning and non-destructive testing applications. Capitalizing on the extensive process engineering, manufacturing automation, cost reduction and volume production capabilities of Canon Inc., we are extending our market leadership position in delivering semiconductor radiation imaging solutions to our customers.

A recognized leader in medical imaging with nearly 30 years of experience, Rich has held senior leadership roles across industry and research organizations (GE Healthcare and Toshiba), including various executive leadership roles within the Canon Inc. group of companies where he played a key role in advancing next-generation CT imaging technologies, contributing to major clinical research initiatives and product innovations, and facilitating global R&D collaborations.
Rich holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Physics from UCLA and has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading medical imaging and radiology journals. He is passionate about advancing technologies that improve patient outcomes and is focused on leading Redlen's continued growth and innovation in high-resolution imaging solutions.

Jay is an experienced financial executive who has led finance teams in both public and private high growth, complex organizations including STEMCELL Technologies, Peer1 Hosting, Angiotech Pharmaceuticals and Ballard Power Systems. Jay is a CA with a strong track record of providing financial leadership for high growth medical device, pharmaceutical and high-tech companies. Jay holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a CPA and Chartered Accountant.

Hiroaki Nakai is an experienced technology executive with a career spanning 30 years. He joined Toshiba R&D Center as a researcher in computer vision, leading research programs in industrial applications such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. In 2009, he moved to Toshiba Medical Systems where he led R&D projects in imaging modalities, including photon counting CT. From 2020 to 2023, he was Technology Executive at Canon Medical Systems, overseeing hardware technology development. He received a MSc in control engineering from Osaka University.

Meghan is a seasoned HR professional, bringing extensive expertise in talent management and executive leadership to the table. Over her 18 years of experience in HR leadership roles, she has successfully navigated through multiple post-acquisition integrations and played a pivotal role in an IPO. Her strategic guidance has consistently led to tangible business successes across start-ups, growth-stage ventures, and established organizations, primarily in the technology sector. Sean is an engineering leader with 15+ years of experience across the automotive, aerospace and defense (electro-optics), and medical industries. He specializes in complex system design, design for manufacturing, precision engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Sean has led multidisciplinary teams from concept through full-scale production, emphasizing quality, cost, and manufacturability. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, an M.S. in Optical Science from the University of Rochester, and is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC.

Mr. Takiguchi assumed the role of Senior Managing Executive Officer at Canon following Canon's acquisition of Toshiba Medical in 2016, where he served as President and CEO, and was later appointed Executive Vice President of Canon in 2024. He has over 30 years of prior executive and management roles in medical systems marketing, sales and business development.

Hideo is General Manager of Canon's Redlen Business Development Division, which he established in 2022. He has spent 20 years at Canon, starting in legal, where he handled major M&A deals (Océ N.V., Axis Communications) and post-merger integration. After Canon's 2016 acquisition of Toshiba Medical Systems, he moved to Corporate Planning to lead M&A and PMI efforts supporting Canon's medical business strategy, including the acquisition of Redlen. He also built Canon's global risk management framework through its Risk Management Committee. Earlier in his career, he worked in IP for commercial printing, earning a President's Award, and contributed to Japan's national IP strategy through work with METI on the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
