President & CEO
Glenn is an Electrical Engineer and MBA who brings over 25 years of design, product marketing, business development and executive management experience in the semiconductor industry. He was a founder of PMC-Sierra, Inc. and grew a highly profitable division with sales exceeding $200M per year. Glenn is a holder of 6 semiconductor device patents and has extensive experience in product marketing, building strategic business relationships, and successfully managing high growth businesses.

Jim Balcom
Chief Operating Officer
Jim is a seasoned technology executive with 25 years’ experience in the successful development and launch of disruptive products and technologies at Ballard Power Systems and PolyFuel in advanced fuel cell products, at Sonigistix in consumer electronics and at Ondine Biomedical in medical devices. He has led manufacturing, engineering and executive management teams in Silicon Valley, Seattle and Vancouver. Jim has a Systems Design Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Harvard University.

Mr. Takiguchi assumed his current roles within Canon through the acquisition by Canon in 2016 of his predecessor company Toshiba Medical where he served as President and CEO. He has over 30 years of prior executive and management roles in medical systems marketing, sales and business development.

Seymour Liebman
Director
Senior Managing Executive Officer of Canon Inc., Japan; Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel of Canon U.S.A., Inc.
Mr. Liebman oversees all legal affairs and corporate administration functions for Canon Americas and has held numerous prior executive financial management roles during his over 30-year career at Canon.

Tatsuo Murayama

Deputy Chief Executive, Medical Component Business Unit, Medical Systems and Component Operations, Canon Inc.
In 2020, Mr. Murayama was appointed Deputy Chief Executive, Medical Component Business Unit, Medical Systems and Component Operations, Canon Inc. At Toshiba Medical prior to the acquisition by Canon, Mr Murayama held a number of executive management roles in video and imaging systems over the previous 20 years.

Hajime Shingu

Mr Shingu currently leads ACTmed, a joint venture between Canon Medical and Taiwan based ACT Genomics Corporation, a cancer solution provider specializing in cancer genomics and bioinformatics. He was previously General Manager of corporate business development at Canon and at Toshiba medical prior to the acquisition. He also previously held senior roles in Nuclear Medicine within Toshiba.

Mr. Minami joined Canon Inc in 2001 and has held senior management roles in Finance and Accounting at Canon Inc, Canon USA, and Canon Solutions America, Inc.

Bob Armstrong
Advisory Board Member
Bob most recently led all Research & Development programs at Smiths Medical where he focussed on innovation and accelerating commercialization of differentiated products and platforms. He joined the organization in 2014.
Prior to Smiths Medical, Bob served as Vice President, Innovation Excellence Transformation at Philips Healthcare, a $12.4 billion division of the Dutch conglomerate. In that role, he had responsibility for creating and implementing the product development process and competency improvements for all product development in Philips Healthcare globally. Prior to Philips, he served as Vice President of R&D for all Medical Devices and Adjacent Disposables for Baxter Healthcare.
Bob began his career as an engineer in GE Healthcare and assumed roles of increasing responsibility over 21 years, last serving as General Manager of Global Computed Tomography and Functional Imaging Engineering.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from St. Norbert College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, as well as a number of patents

Colin C. Harris
Advisory Board Member
Colin is a founder of PMC-Sierra, and served as its Vice President, Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2015 when the company was sold for $2.5B. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Operations at PMC-Sierra from July 2004 and Vice President of IC Technology from May 1997 to July 2004. Colin is an active angel investor and serves on the board of several technology companies as well as the Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment. Colin graduated from UBC with a degree in Engineering Physics and is the holder of 5 semiconductor device patents.
